UNZIP_BRAIN
In science research, brain activity is measured with an EEG, which is graphically visualised with the help of software. The UNZIP_BRAIN project allows these data to be visualised in an analogue way, with the help of chladnic sound figures, in order to explore the therapeutic potential of this technique.
In the process, the frequencies emerging from the brain are converted into analogue signals and amplified (see figure). The resulting imprints thus represent a state of feeling in order to create an impression for one's own current mental state.
Me and my project partner Leonie Blug recorded the process of mapping these brain waves as a hypothetical scientific research situation
The project was exhibited at the „Burggallerie“ in Halle (Saale) from 11.10.2023 to 12.11.2023 in an interdisciplinary exhibition by Burg Giebichenstein University of At & Design.
